Our Editorial Standards

  • Original & tested: Every recipe is developed or adapted in our kitchens and tested before publishing.
  • Clear, achievable instructions: Realistic prep/cook times, accessible ingredients, and step details you won’t have to guess.
  • Final review: Rebecca approves each post for accuracy, readability, and food safety before it goes live.
  • Updates & transparency: When we improve a recipe based on reader feedback, we re-test and note the change date on the post.
  • Attribution: When a recipe is inspired by a source, we credit that influence.

How We Test Recipes

  • Measure carefully with standard US cups/spoons and digital scales when needed.
  • Cook on typical home equipment (electric/induction ranges, standard ovens, 8–12" skillets, sheet pans).
  • Document swaps and variations; include freezer and storage notes when helpful.
  • Taste for seasoning and texture; re-run if timing or yield isn’t consistent.
