Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes medium (about 1 1/2 pounds), scrubbed and dried
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • 1 5- to 6-quart air fryer

Method

  1. Preheat a 5- to 6-quart air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Cut the sweet potatoes lengthwise into wedges about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Toss the wedges in a large bowl with the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed.
  5. Cook at 400°F for 12 to 16 minutes, turning halfway through, until browned and fork-tender.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

For crispier wedges, arrange them in a single layer and work in batches rather than crowding the basket. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days; freezing is not recommended because the wedges may lose their texture. This recipe is naturally vegan and gluten-free.
