Ingredients

For the kielbasa
  • 1 package (14 oz) kielbasa fully cooked, cut into 1/2-inch rounds
For the glaze
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed, light
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • 1 12-inch skillet

Method

Brown the kielbasa
  1. Arrange the kielbasa in a single layer in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned at the edges.
  2. Transfer the kielbasa to a plate.
Glaze the bites
  1. Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the brown sugar, water, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar to the skillet, and stir for 2–3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the glaze thickens slightly.
  2. Return the kielbasa to the skillet and toss for 2–3 minutes until heated through and coated in glaze.

Notes

For the best texture, brown the kielbasa in a single layer. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days; freezing is not recommended because the glaze may change texture. Turkey kielbasa can be used as a lighter swap.
