Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 4 chai tea bags
  • 8 oz white chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.13 tsp kosher salt

Method

  1. Heat the milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until steaming, with small bubbles forming around the edges; do not let it boil.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and add the tea bags.
  3. Steep for 5 minutes, then discard the tea bags.
  4. Add the white chocolate and salt, whisking until the chocolate is completely melted and the drink is smooth.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and serve hot.

Notes

For the smoothest drink, keep the milk below a boil. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended. For a dairy-free variation, use unsweetened plant milk and dairy-free white chocolate.
