Ingredients

  • 2 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 4 can (14.5 oz) cut green beans drained
  • 1 package (6 oz) crispy fried onions divided

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart slow cooker

Method

  1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Fold in the drained green beans and half of the crispy fried onions.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours or HIGH for 1 to 2 hours, until hot throughout.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions over the casserole just before serving.

Notes

For the best crunch, add the remaining fried onions just before serving. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days; freezing is not recommended because the green beans and sauce can lose texture. For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free cream of mushroom soup, soy sauce, and crispy fried onions.
