Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups nonfat dry milk
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp fine salt

Method

  1. Sift the cocoa powder and powdered sugar through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl to break up any lumps.
  2. Add the nonfat dry milk, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Whisk until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the mix to an airtight container.
  5. Store at room temperature for up to 3 months.
  6. Use 1/3 cup per serving.

Notes

For a smooth mix, sift the cocoa powder and powdered sugar thoroughly. Store airtight at room temperature for up to 3 months; refrigeration is unnecessary, but if chilled, use within 90 days. Freezer: not recommended. For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free powdered milk in place of the nonfat dry milk.
