Prepare the rolls
- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the cinnamon rolls in the dish.
- Set the icing packets aside.
- Pour the heavy cream evenly around the rolls.
Make the topping and bake
- Stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Spoon the mixture evenly over the rolls.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes more, until the centers are set and the tops are lightly golden.
Ice the rolls
- Let the rolls rest for 5 minutes.
- Drizzle with the icing from the packets.
Notes
For even baking, pour the cream around the rolls rather than over them. Refrigerate leftovers covered for up to 3 days; freeze for up to 2 months and thaw before reheating. A dairy-free swap would require replacing the cream and butter with plant-based alternatives and using dairy-free cinnamon rolls.
